Our Free Fantasy Euros Research:

Jordan Pickford - Although Jordan Pickford conceded against Slovakia last Sunday, there is no doubt that the Everton stopper has been one of England’s better players in the tournament thus far and with manager Gareth Southgate reportedly switching to a back three for the quarter-final tie with Switzerland, he could play even better. More defensive solidity on Saturday will hopefully lead to another clean sheet and further progress for the Three Lions.

Dani Carvajal - Spain may have conceded their first goal of the tournament against Georgia but it was by their own doing and with such defensive stability in the main, there seems no reason to chance Dani Carvajal’s presence in the starting eleven. Even though this current Spanish crop seems of a younger vintage, the presence of the Real Madrid veteran is certainly helping La Roja’s quest to conquer the continent.

Maximilian Mittelstädt - Mittelstadt did not feature against Denmark in the Round of 16, but there is no need to panic just yet. Julian Nagelsmann may well decide to revert to his starting type with Spain on the horizon and although it could be a gamble by the German manager, it is also going to have to be a gamble for us at the same time.

Theo Hernandez - There is no doubt that France have been far from their best but they are making the necessary progress required and from a defensive point of view, they are also not giving all that much away. A clean sheet against Belgium in their Round of 16 was a plus point when selecting Theo Hernandez and this means the AC Milan defender stays in the starting eleven.

Denzel Dumfries - Drafted in as the first transfer of four, Denzel Dumfries takes the final defensive berth. The Dutch international has been keeping Jeremie Frimpong largely on the sidelines and because Ronald Koeman continues to give him the nod, we are giving him the nod to start against Turkey on Saturday evening.

Bruno Fernandes – Portugal may have reached the last eight at the expense of Slovenia, but they have almost done so in spite of Bruno Fernandes’ talents. The Manchester United midfielder stays in the team for as long as he and his teammates are still in the tournament. Should they not get to the final, this will be one of the more obvious transfers to make.

Florian Wirtz – With a wildcard still in our top pocket, there is no need to make sweeping changes in midfield and although Florian Wirtz also failed to start against Denmark last Saturday, we are applying the same logic for his continued selection than what is applied to international teammate Maximillian Mittlestadt above.

Arda Guler - One of the most exciting young talents in the tournament has been Arda Guler and with Turkey advancing to the last eight at the expense of Austria, not only does it mean that Marcel Sabitzer’s time in the side has come to an end, but it also means there is a vacancy in the starting eleven for our second transfer. A vacancy that is filled by the Real Madrid starlet and if he can help pull off a shock against the Dutch, then he is going nowhere.

Cristiano Ronaldo - Although Cristiano Ronaldo scored in the penalty shootout against Slovenia, he failed to score from 12 yards when it mattered before. Still, the Portuguese phenom is going to be playing in the last eight and in theory, there is always a threat of goal from somewhere. If he does go out of the tournament on Friday night, Kylian Mbappe will be waiting in the wings.

Harry Kane - Scored England’s winner against Slovakia and with England tipped to go all the way, we are going all the way with Harry Kane. The Bayern Munich may not at his brilliant best, but his extra-time header on Sunday suggests it is far too early to simply remove from the starting eleven. If he lifts the trophy next Sunday, it should mean plenty of points have been added to our total score.

Kenan Yildiz- Our third transfer for four, Kenan Yildiz is slotted into the attack. The Juventus forward may not have yet scored in the tournament, but he has had nine chances thus far and with him possessing the ability to be a handful in possession, his bargain price makes him an attractive prospect for the weekend’s starting eleven.

Subs:

Mert Gunok – The fourth and final transfer of the round. Mert Gunok will simply play the role of understudy to Jordan Pickford.

Joey Veerman – Same logic as before, a handy sub at a solid price - that will do for us.

Jeremie Frimpong – Although he is not getting the necessary minutes, there is no point wasting a transfer for a sub. Therefore, Frimpong stays put.

Granit Xhaka – With Austria exiting the tournament, there was perhaps a call for Xhaka to be drafted back in. However, I have opted for the more attacking Arda Guler instead.

Research Suggestions:

Although the game is open to all Bet365 customers, it arguably rewards those who put in the time and effort. So research by reading through the pre-tournament form and see which nations are arriving in Germany in red-hot form.

Also, be sure to check for any critical player injuries. Like with Fantasy Football, you don’t want to put all your hopes on a team winning only to find their best player is out injured.
