Visa Debit Card, MasterCard and Maestro Debit Card

Deposit up to £3,000 in one transaction and bet instantly with a debit card.

One of the deposit options open to you at BetUK is using a debit card, whether that’s Visa, MasterCard or Maestro. In each case, the minimum amount is set at a reasonable £10 and this rises to £3,000. Assuming your details have already been verified, the transaction should go through instantly, allowing you to bet straightaway on the day’s big match or race.

Apple Pay and Google Pay

Get going instantly with deposits from as little as £10.

If you’re a smartphone user, you’ll probably already know the convenience of using Apple Pay or Google Pay for your transactions. You can deposit any amount between £10 and £3,000 without incurring any transaction costs and the money should be transferred to your BetUK account immediately, so you can start betting whenever you’re ready.

Bank Transfer

Bet with up to £10,000 instantly if you deposit using a bank transfer.

If you tend to bet with larger sums of money, the best BetUK deposit option for your needs is likely to be a bank transfer.

As is the case with the other deposit methods that BetUK offer, no transaction fee will be applied and the money will be made available to bet with instantly.

Unlike the other options though, rather than being restricted to a £3,000 deposit limit, you can transfer up to £10,000 at a time. The only downside to consider is that any future withdrawals would then have to be made using the same method, where you are likely to face a longer wait for the transaction to be processed.

How to Deposit at BetUK

The BetUK deposit process doesn’t need a great deal of explanation once you’ve registered for a new account and had your details verified. Log in to your BetUK account, head to your current balance and tap it to bring up a list of all the BetUK deposit options that are open to you.

It may be that Google Pay and Apple Pay are only accessible as deposit options if you’re using the BetUK app.

Deposit Limits

You can set your own deposit limits by day, week or month, making it impossible to deposit more than a predetermined amount of your choosing.

Loss Limit

Setting your own loss limits can limit the amount of money that you’re able to lose on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, and can be found within the ‘Account’ section when you’re logged in to BetUK.

Session Limit

To restrict the amount of time you can spend playing on BetUK, you can employ the session limit functionality. This will notify you with a pop-up just before your time ends, and automatically logs you out once the time expires.

Wagering Limit

Setting your wagering limit allows you to control how much you can wager on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. If you can reach your specified limit you will receive a notification in the form of an error, which may advise of ‘Insufficient funds’.

Reality Check

To help you manage the amount of time you spend playing, you can set up a Reality Check alert on your account. You must log in to access this feature. Once set, a pop-up alert will be displayed as a reminder that you have been playing for the time interval selected. You will be required to acknowledge the reality check to continue playing or exit the game.

Time Out

If you’d like to take a temporary break from gambling, you can apply a time out to your account for between 1 day and 6 weeks. Once you begin your time out you will not be able to access your account until your time out has ended. Your account will automatically re-open after your time out has ended.

Self Exclusion

Whilst all of the above facilities are shorter term measures, you can also Self-Exclude from your account for a specified period of between 6 months and 5 years. By choosing to Self-Exclude, you will be prevented from gambling for your selected period of time.

Unaccepted Deposit Methods

  • Credit Cards - Legislation was introduced during 2020 with the aim of discouraging irresponsible gambling. This means it is no longer possible to use a credit card to deposit into UK betting sites, and so you’ll have to find an alternative solution when it comes to betting with BetUK.
  • Skrill and Neteller - It is not currently possible to use E-wallets to deposit into your BetUK account. This is a shame if your preference is for using PayPal, Skrill or Neteller.
  • Paysafecard - Using a paysafecard is one way to help keep your gambling spend under control. Some bookmakers include it on their list of deposit methods, but that’s not the case with BetUK.
